RACHEL BROWN - FOOTBALL 'Determination, ambition and a love of your sport will fulfill your dreams!' A composed presence as the last line of England's defence, Rachel Brown has grown in stature and experience in recent years. In April 2007 she was selected to be part of the FIFA All-star team that played an exhibition against World Cup hosts China, where she was able to train with Norwegian legend Bente Norby. In her early career Rachel earned a football scholarship in the United States where she played for the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh Panthers). Rachel was named Goalkeeper of the Year for the Eastern Conference every year and also holds the University record for the least goals conceded in a season. |

ROB GREENWOOD - SWIMMING 'My most important quality is that I never compromise!' A former national youth and national champion, Rob was captain of the European Junior Swimming Team, 1997, where he won 3 medals. In 1998 he swam in the Kula Lumpur Commonwealth Games and in 1999 he competed at the World short course Championships in Athens. Rob achieved his goal to represent Great Britain at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. At 28 years old, Rob has been coaching for 5 years and is currently the Head Coach of top Lancashire Swimming Squad, Gallica. His coaching achievements so far include helping Gallica to 7th position at the age group National Championships 2005 and then 1st place at the National Championships 2006, with a total of 11 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals! Rob's coaching influences include some of the world's best coaches that he has been lucky enough to come into contact with both as a swimmer and a coach, but his old coach and friend Dave Evitts would be upset if he did not give him a mention!! |
