Lancashire Sport is working in partnership to increase participation in, and widen access to, sport and physical activity.
The Partnership currently has a vacancy for an enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills and knowledge/experience of coaching to join its Workforce Development Team as Club Training Needs Co-ordinator. The post is funded by Sport England, as part of the “Developing Clubs through Developing People” project bid.
Key roles of the post are;
- To support the Workforce Development Manager in achieving key priorities within the Lancashire Workforce Development Plan 2008 – 2012 and contribute generally to the work of the Workforce Development team
- To work to achieve the core themes and specific workforce development team targets in the Lancashire Sport strategy and the Lancashire Sport business plan.
- To work with the Sporting Infrastructure Manager and the Club Development Group to develop a diagnostic which can be used to identify training needs for sports clubs, throughout the County
- To pilot Organisational Needs Analysis (ONAs) and Training Needs Analysis (TNAs) with clubs in Lancashire and contribute to the development of a suitable infrastructure which can deliver ONAs and TNAs on an on-going basis
The successful candidate will need to have a good level of education, awareness of the training and development needs of those working in sport and experience of delivering a customer focused service.

Duration: This post is for a fixed term until the 30th October 2009, subject to confirmation of ongoing Big Lottery funding.
