Cheshire County Football Association working in partnership with The Football Association is looking to appoint a Senior Football Development Officer.
This exciting new position will report to the County Development Manager and will commence on 5th September 2008 based at the County Headquarters in Northwich, Cheshire.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a Graduate or of Graduate calibre
- Have significant Sports / Football Development experience
- Experience of managing staff
- Have the ability to lead a team and to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate individual initiative
- Support team members to set personal objectives and targets
- Be able to work strategically with partner organisations to deliver programmes and courses
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Hold a Driving Licence
- Have a solid understanding of The FA’s National Game Strategy.
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Possess leadership qualities, be fair and have an understanding of Equality and Inclusion issues.
The successful candidate will fulfil the following roles:
- Support and ensure, in conjunction with the County Development Manager, that the Football Development Team work effectively to deliver the County Plan.
- Be responsible for Goal setting with the Football Development team
- Manage the Football Development team to include Football Development Officer, Women and Girls Football Development Officer and County Football Coach
- Be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the workforce including delivery of Key Performance Indicators
- Be responsible for club and education development across the County and support the football community across Cheshire with revenue applications to relevant funding bodies.
You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level. You must be able to motivate people, work under pressure, willing to work flexible hours, handle multiple priorities and be well organised and meet deadlines. In addition you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels. You need to have credible experience in sport/football development.The post will require the need to travel extensively in the local area.

Salary Circa £25,000 - £29,000
