Main Duties
- To develop a Joint project with Cumbria Sport Partnership "Developing clubs through Developing People"
- To co-ordinate a joint volunteering project between University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), Edge Hill University and University of Cumbria, linking students into local sports clubs and contribute to volunteering plans within each University
- To help develop a new cohort of volunteers to support clubs and make a significant contribution to Sport England's aim of increasing participation in sport and physical activity across the two counties, targeting those clubs who are CLubmark accredited or looking to gain that accreditation.
- To help achieve core themes and specific workforce development team targets in the Lancashire Sports Strategy and the Lancashire Sport Business Plan
- To work closely with the Steering Partnership of Edge Hill, University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) and Lancashire Sport ( County Sports Partnership) to sucessfully plan, deliveer and evaluate the HE Volunteering project and ensure a co-ordinated approach is developed across Lancashire and Cumbria.
- To liaise with a range of organisations such as: County Sports Parnerships, National Governing Bodies, Local Authorities, Sportscoach UK, Club Development officers, Local and regional sport clubs. To maximise the effectiveness and the impact of the project, seeking to add value through co-ordinaation and attracting additional resources
