Our Policies

We believe that sport should be made available to everyone and it should be enjoyed in a safe and responsible environment.

Throughout the work that we do we have policies in place to make sure that taking part in sport is safe, accessible to everybody and does not discriminate on grounds of race, gender, sexuality or physical ability.

We are actively encouraging as many organisations across Lancashire to do the same.

Our two most important policies that we are currently working towards is Child Protection and Equality.

Child Protection

We have a commitment to child protection and are currently developing a partnership implementation plan.

Our Commitment to Equality

The Lancashire Sport Partnership Board has endorsed our Equality Policy and the partnerships commitment towards achieving the Equality Standard - A framework for Sport.

Lancashire Sport Partnership has been awarded the Foundation Level and is currently working towards achieving the Preliminary Level Equality Standard.

The Equality Standard is a national framework for widening access and increasing the participation and involvement in sport and physical activity from under-represented individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and people with disabilities. It is endorsed by the major Sporting bodies and Governing bodies who are working to the same standards.
