 Preston School boy designs new Youth Games Mascot:

January 2011

Matthew Fox from St Andrews CE Primary school in Preston designed the winning entry for the new mascot for the Spar Lancashire Youth Games.  His design of the "Leaping Lancashire Lion" was chosen from hundreds of other entries to be made up into a life size mascot and will be appearing at all of the Youth Games events over the coming months.

Blacko primary school were crowned champions of Lancashire when they won the Spar Lancashire Youth Games Tag Rugby county final in March. European Championship athlete hosts SPAR Lancashire Disability Youth Games

Lisa Daley was guest of honour at the recent SPAR Lancashire Disability Youth Games event, held at Stanley Park, Blackpool. The event saw 56 teams, representing 20 specialist schools in the county compete in boccia, football, athletics, new age curling and sensory orienteering events. read more »


Wyre Kwik cricket finals take place

The Wyre district cricket final took place recently at Thornton Cleveleys Cricket Club with The Breck Primary School taking first place. The school will now go on to represent their borough at the SPAR Lancashire Youth Games County Final on Thursday 2nd July at Salt Ayre Sports Centre, Lancaster. read more »
