ASA Helper Certificate (Swimming for people with disabilities)
The course will qualify a helper to be able to help with a club activity under the guidance of a qualified ASA Level 2 (Teacher) Certificate holder (Swimming for people with disabilities).

ASA Level 1 Certificate for Teaching (Swimming for People with Disabilities)
Once qualified a holder of the Level 1 Certificate for Teaching (Disabilities) is one who is able to support and teach individual swimmers with significant learning, physical or sensory disabilities under the supervision of a qualified teacher (disabilities). The course is designated to introduce candidates to the basic principles of teaching/coaching, covering a limited range of skills and working with small group of pupils.

ASA Level 2 Certificate for Teaching (Swimming for People with Disabilities)
This qualification will build upon the skills and knowledge developed at Level 1. The fundamental difference is that at Level 1 the emphasis of the course was on teaching and supporting individual swimmers with disabilities and on assisting with group activities. The emphasis of the ASA Level 2 Certificate for teaching modules will be on preparing the candidates to take responsibility for teaching groups of swimmers with disabilities and their helpers.

BDAA Access Awareness Workshop
This one day workshop has been designed by qualified disabled angling coaches to help broaden the understanding of the barriers to participation, how to identify and overcome them with minimum cost but maximum effect, whilst focussing on fishing as a specific activity; through this course attendees will be offered a clearer understanding of access, requirements, DDA, encouraging social inclusion with communities.

BDAA Coaching Disabled People
This one day workshop has been designed by qualified disabled angling coaches to help broaden the understanding of disability issues encompassing working with disabled participants, whilst focusing on fishing as a specific activity; through this course attendees will be offered a clearer understanding of disability, types of impairments, integration into fishing, terminology, and encouraging social inclusion within communities.

BDAA Disability Awareness Certificate
Awareness of disability is vitally important for both disabled and none disabled people to understand the issues and barriers facing disabled people, these can include terminology, barriers, negative comments and patronising gestures. The BDAA have developed a program of Disability Awareness that has certification of attendance for those who attend the course, it covers correct terminology, the Disability Discrimination Act, barriers to fishing, access issues and more.

English Table Tennis Association – Disability Awareness Training
This 6 hour table tennis specific course is aimed not only at coaches but also at club members and forms an integral part of the Premier Club ‘Ability’ programme. The course is part practical and part theory and is tutored by some of the British Paralympics team.

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby – Level 1 Coaching Award for Wheelchair Rugby
On completion of Level 1 the coach will have developed a range of skills, have knowledge of health and safety and diversity. The coach will also have the basic skills to run a session of wheelchair rugby. These skills will include identifying different abilities enabling the correct use of sports chairs and set up as well as all the basics to teach new athletes the fundamentals of playing sport, along with good basic knowledge of the rules of play. With these skills the coach will be able to run demonstration sessions and mini games in schools or sports clubs making disabled people inclusive within a sports programme.
