Coach of the Year
This award is made to the coach who has given up their time and invested their expertise, selflessly, to help those interested in sport to develop their talent and to realise their full potential.
Key Criteria; Coaching Qualifications; CRB Check; Coaching Experience; Personal Development & Learning; Roles & Responsibilities
Clubmark Club of the Year
This award is given to an active and well run sports club that has undertaken great work in running development programmes which attract and retain participants, particularly those from under-represented groups, and which help their members to develop their sports potential. The club will have worked towards gaining a high standard national accreditation or continued to retain their Clubmark status.
Key Criteria; Governing Body Affiliation; Clubmark Accreditation; Community / School Links; Increasing Participation; Coach and Volunteer Support
Young Volunteer of the Year
This award is made to the young person who has given up their free time to volunteer in sport. Sport in Britain depends on volunteers and these young people will be the backbone of sporting opportunities in the future.
Key Criteria: No. hours volunteered; CRB Check; Experiences; Personal Development; Impact on others / community
Adult Volunteer of the Year
This award is given to the volunteer who has given up their free time to volunteer in sport in a non coaching capacity. Sport in Britain depends on volunteers and these people help to sustain sporting opportunities for all.
Key Criteria: Hours Volunteered, CRB Checked, Experiences, Personal Development, Impact on other/community
School of the Year
This award is given to a Primary or Secondary School that has excelled in school sport and physical activity over the last 12 months. Community links and the impact of sport has made them stand out in the run up to London 2012.
Key Criteria: Get Set Registered, PE and Sport delivered in the Curriculum and activities offered out of school hours, range of activities offered, achievements and impact in the school and community
Rising Star
This award is for some of the most talented performers across the County, who show exceptional dedication to their sport and have the potential to perform at the highest level. Nominations are encouraged from those who have represented their County/Region/Country in their chosen sport.
Key Criteria; Achievements; Level of Performance; Personal Qualities; Dedication; Ability to overcome barriers
Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is for an individual who has shown a consistent lifetime commitment (20+ years) and made a major contribution to community sport within Lancashire.
Key Criteria; consistent commitment over a number of years
