The latest statistics from Sport England's Active People Survey have been released. The survey about sport and physical activity is the largest in Europe and includes information on participation, volunteering, club membership, tuition, competition and satisfaction with sporting provision. Using the Sport England Active People 4 profile, we have been able to pull together a statement of our Participation in Sport performance in the latest survey that was released prior to Christmas.
The positive news is that Lancashire has not seen a reduction in participation across the sub region as experienced elsewhere; which was a concern for the sector during the onset of tough economic times.
The latest results refer to a telephone survey taking place between October 2009 and October 2010. Lancashire Sport has summarised the findings for Lancashire and shows a fascinating insight into how our county gets involved in sport. To download our Active People 4 profile.
