As part of the celebrations of 100 Years of Weightlifting BWL are holding a Centenary Event in York on the 3rd of September 2011.
The day will consist of weightlifters spanning all ages from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as some guest lifters. There will also be a chance to win entry to selected Weightlifting Events at the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
Throughout the day we will also be honouring some of our former Olympians and Commonwealth Lifters as well as those who have dedicated a large part of their life to our sport. Entry to the competition is free.
After the event there will be a banquet at the venue and accommodation is available to book. Tickets for the evening banquet are £30 and are bookable online at www.britishweightlifting.org
