The City of Preston Cycling Grand Prix, taking place in August, brings the city centre alive with ferocious cycling talent battling it out to win! The event has lots to offer from the spectacle of cycling, to cycle stunt displays come and enjoy the event, find out more about cycling and help promote Preston as the vibrant city we all know it too be.

For those who prefer sport on two wheels, the City of Preston Cycling Grand Prix - the city's national cycling race - promises to make exciting viewing. The city centre given over to some of the countries top cyclists battling it out at break neck speeds to win this years competition.

Last years event attracted top cyclists from across the country and this year promises to be no exception. The event will see a number of races start and finish on the covered Market. These will include youth races, followed by regional and elite races, which form part of the British Cycling national series.

Entries to the Grand Prix are limited to professional cyclists, further information about registration will be available later in the year. Spectators will also have the chance to take part in cycling skills sessions and find out information about other sporting activities available in the city.

City of Preston grand Prix is organised by Preston City Council and supported by Lancashire County council, CIVITAS, UCLan and Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust.
