NDCS through the Me2 project is running FREE training on Saturday 12 February for leisure organisations including sports clubs, coaches, arts facilitators, youth and play workers, brownie/guide/scouts leaders.
The training is aimed at anyone who works with children and young people to provide fun, leisure activities.
Places are still available see the below flier for further details of this FREE training. The Manchester course is at The Manchester Conference Centre on Saturday 12 February. Places must be pre-booked.
The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS)
NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. There are 45,000 deaf children and young people in the UK with four more babies born deaf everyday.
Is your organisation genuinely inclusive of deaf children and young people? This course can help you to be meaningfully deaf friendly.
Through work with the Football Association, the Scouts Association and other youth organisations they have developed a project called Me2 which is all about working with mainstream leisure organisation's, to help you to become inclusive of the needs of deaf children and young people.
