Last year, the prestigious Valley Champions Awards Ceremony, hosted by Ribble Valley Church was a huge success, seeing 3 incredible individuals and 1 group being awarded gifts and great recognition for living life like a true Champion! Over 175 people from Preston, Leyland, Blackburn and Chorley attended the event and a great night was had by all!
This year Valley Champions will be held on 4th December at Ribble Valley Church, and we are now looking for nominations for this years Valley Champion awards ceremony.
A 'Valley Champion' is someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty, whether it is in home life, voluntary work, rising above difficult health problems, being role models, standing up and being counted, etc. etc. Basically anyone who has a story to tell of how they have Championed through a situation or have been a great example that others can follow can be nominated as a Valley Champion.
Usually, the Champions themselves do not realise the valuable impact they have had on other people, and just count it as part of their normal everyday lives, whereas when we see them, they are extraordinary and worthy of recognition and celebration for all they have achieved!
As a church we have a passion to invest positively into our local communities and helping people come together and celebrate the achievements of others when they so often can go unnoticed.
The deadline for nominations will be September 2nd.
