Wheelchair Basketball

Based in Preston at the St Augustines New Avenham Centre (SANAC) Preston Wheelchair Basketball club are a new club looking for particpants interested in taking part in a fully inclusive and fun sporting activity.

They are after young people and adults aged 14 and over and able to manually operate a wheelchair. The Club is fully inclusive and is open to disabled and non disabled people with an interest in developing new skills and taking part in Wheelchair Basketball and Inclusive Zone Basketball.

Preston Basketball Club will be kicking off on Tuesday 1st March 5pm-6pm at SANAC in Preston and welcomes people to come along, bring their friends or family and take part in a really exciting sport. Wheelchairs, equipment and coaching from a Level 2 Qualified Coach will be available for people taking part and their will be a chance to take part in adapted activities so that everyone can enjoy and take part together.

The club is also looking for volunteers who would be available to help, support and drive the club forward and can offer opportunities to gain training and qualifications to help them develop as Wheelchair Basketball coaches and volunteers.
