CBBC are on the search for the best street dance crews in Britain to take part in a fantastic new series for CBBC. With a star presenter and a panel of expert judges, this will be the talked about talent search of the summer.

Successful crews will be selected to go through to the next round by our panel of experts. Through a series of heats, the finalists will then battle it out in a spectacular grand final with the winners being treated to a money can't buy dance experience!

What you need to know

  • Each group must be no less than 5 and no more than 12 members
  • Members should be aged between 10 and 16 yrs old on 1st September 2011
  • For the audition each group will give 1 performance only which must not feature any vocal performance. Backing tracks may be used and should be provided by the group on CD.

This is a CBBC programme - the choice of music must be appropriate

  • Performances should be 1 - 2 minutes in length.
  • We do not want any groups to perform in costumes at the auditions. This will allow all groups to be judged fairly on their performance alone
  • We require each group to come with their leader/coach/mentor. It is essential to bring 2 adults with each group to the audition.
  • Each group must bring a completed group application form and it is essential that every individual performer brings a signed consent form by their parent/guardian.Without these completed forms the audition cannot go ahead.
  • Audition spaces tend to fill up fast so make sure you contact us asap to avoid disappointment. We cannot pay for travel expenses.
