There is a huge range of information and research relating to sport and physical activity, giving us better insight than ever before of the sporting landscape of our county. Lancashire Sport Partnership and it's partners use this information to plan, evaluate and fully understand what factors influence people getting involved in sport.
Below are some common questions, and advice on how to find the answers:
How many people take part in sport?
The best was to find out who is getting involved in sport, whether it's playing, volunteering, receiving coaching, and others is to examine in detail Sport England's Active People Survey. This survey is the largest in Europe and is repeated every year.
We use it intensively to measure our performance and advise others on what are the key findings of the survey.
