No matter where you live, there is a wide range of sport on offer. Choose an area of Lancashire below to find sports courses, clubs, events and useful contacts in your local area.
Sport in your area is strategically coordinated by networks called Sport and Physical Activity Alliances (SPAAs).
Lancashire has 14 SPAA's one within each local authority boundary. These SPAA's provide a voice for local organisations to improve and add value to existing sport and physical activity provision. The SPAAs are made up of a variety of organisations such as local sport and leisure departments, health practioners, schools and colleges, youth and community services, sport governing bodies and other local agencies that have an interest in developing and providing sport and physical activity for local people. SPAAs are not a new concept. Where they already exist, they have evolved from the recognition that organisations at a local level with similar objectives can achieve more if they work together. The overall aims for many of the SPAAs are to increasing participation and widening access to sport and physical activity for all members of the community.
