Welcome to Volunteering
Across Lancashire volunteers are providing an essential service to clubs and organisations to make sure that people are doing their best and getting the most out of sport. The sporting sector makes the single biggest contribution to total volunteering in England with 26% of all volunteers citing 'sport' as their main area of interest.

How 'YOU' can get involved !

Current Volunteer Programmes
Sport Makers
The Sport Makers programme is your chance to help sport grow in your local community. Lancashire aims to recruit over 1000 Sport Makers over the next few years who will help to bring sporting opporunities to to people across the county. Sport Makers is a fully inclusive programme and we welcome anyone who wants to get involved. For more information on Sport Makers please click here.
Positive Futures
The Positive Futures programme offers sporting activities to young people aged 14-19 years old, living in a deprived ward within the East of the county (Blackburn, Burnley, Rossendale, Pendle, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley). For more information on Positive Futures please click here.
Over 25's
We are aware that the above programmes are focused around young people aged 14-25 therefore if you are 25 years and over and would like to be involved in volunteering in some capacity there are a number of options available to you. Visit www.do-it.org.uk for volunteering opportunities in your area or visit the Volunteering England website which has information on a number of sports-related volunteering opportunities.
Volunteer Management Portal
Volunteering England's Volunteer Management Portal acts as a gateway to the world of volunteer management with links to over a thousand resources and information on support, training and development opportunities for people managing volunteers.
