Becoming a Placement Provider
There are huge benefits to offering placements to our volunteers in your club or organisation. They will offer their time, skills and enthusiasm and you will be rewarded with developing the individual and watching their talent and confidence grow.
A placement provider is responsible for the safety of all volunteers who work there. The placement provider must ensure that they are adhering to current policies and procedures as they are held responsible for the volunteer whilst they working for them.

Other Way to Volunteer
sported. Volunteer Mentors
sported. are looking to recruit a range of volunteers to join as Mentors, supporting organisations that use sport to improve the lives of young people in disadvantaged communities.
What would I do?
This would depend on your skills and the need of the group you are placed with. You might help a group write a business plan which enables them to access new funding, or help them with their marketing plan or organising their income and expenditure, or you could support them as they get registered as a charity or set up a Board of Trustees. The needs are varied, but it is all about organisational development and using your existing work skills where they really will be appreciated!
Volunteer opportunities are flexible, and provide an excellent opportunity for personal development. Suitable volunteers may come from any of the following backgrounds:
Business sector; members of existing successful sports clubs; sports development and voluntary sector professionals; retired professionals; and many others.
How do I get involved?
