Football

The National Game and Lancashire boasts many of the founder members of the football league, so what better place to get involved in football?

A game traditionally played by teams of 11, which has now evolved into many versions including 5-a-side, 9-a-side, mini-soccer, all played indoors or outdoors, but by many on a local field with 'jumpers for goalposts'.  Whilst the forms have the game have evolved, so has the people playing it, with juniors as young as 5 and 6 involved in organised football all the way up to veterans leagues, and of course the rise in popularity of the female game.

Why not score a visit to your local club and get involved?
