Judo
Judo can be defined in a number of ways; as a fun sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program and a means of self-defence or combat. Importantly it is a sport which is accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
In technical terms Judo is a martial art best known for it's spectacular throwing techniques but also involves considerable grappling on the ground utilizing specialized pins, control holds and arm locks. Judo emphasizes participation in a safe and controlled environment.
