Leg It Lancashire
Getting Lancashire Running
In partnership with England Athletics, Lancashire Sport co-ordinate the Leg it Lancashire program in order to increase the number of people (12+) within the county participating in running. More specifically, by working through a number of partners (local sport development teams, local running groups, community groups, sport clubs), the program aims to increase the number of qualified leaders and subsequently increase the number of registered running groups.
Lancashire Sport Partnership currently offer a LIRF bursary as part of this program which subsidises the costs by almost 70% for anyone 18 years old and above. You will need to apply for this funding before you attend the training and we will not be able to fund anyone retrospectively. There is a maximum of 4 applications per club in a 12-month period, unless otherwise agreed. The bursary will be offered on the quality of the application so please make sure you complete all sections, particularly adding as much detail into section 2. The applicant will be notified within two weeks of their submission if their application is successful.
