Sportivate is an Olympic Legacy programme running up to 2017 that helps local people organise exciting 6-8 week sports programmes for young people.
Sportivate offers funding for activities that are organised because young people want to try them whether that's Free Running, Snow Boarding, Dodgeball or Climbing. It's about putting on activities that 11-25 year old will be interested in and ensuring there are places for young people to carry on that activity after the 6 to 8 week project.
This could be in the form of joining a local club or having a regular session to giving people the skills in that activity where they can take part in their own time and enjoy the new skills they have learnt. Lancashire has hundreds of activities taking place across the county. For information on the different activities happening see the Get Active section of our website.
The application window for Sportivate is now open and will close on Monday 18th July 2016 for any projects that are looking to deliver between October 2016 and March 2017. Projects targeting women and girls, disability and those aged 17-25 will be given priority. Please use the forms on the links above to apply.
